Charissa Tan Godwin • Founder & CEO
Charissa originally hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and moved to the Washington DC area in late 2008 in pursuit of her dreams to build a bigger and better life. While starting this new chapter of her life, she worked as a personal fitness trainer while also working 2 more part-time jobs. She eventually took the opportunity, when presented, to move into the medical industry which served as an incubator for her to acquire the various business and management skillsets that eventually paved the way for her to start Avid Virtual Services. She believes that anyone can build success if they set their mind to it and life is too short to dwell on failure.
When she isn't working on or in the business, Charissa enjoys spending quality time with her husband at home or traveling to their latest local destination in their Model 3 Tesla. She's an evening bike athlete and also enjoys creating a variety of crochet designs in her quiet moments and balancing that by taking Aerial Silks classes to challenge her fitness.
She currently lives in the Annapolis, Maryland area with her husband Jon, and is currently working on developing Avid Virtual University, which is a resource to help others achieve their dream of becoming successful virtual service providers!
Kimberly Thomas • Operations & Finance Director
Kim has been working with Avid for over 4 years and has a background in Corporate leadership, accounting, payroll, and administration. Prior to joining Avid's team, Kim worked in the Real Estate industry, and prior to that, as Managing Director of a non-profit called On Eagles Wings Ministries.
She is currently Avid's Operations & Finance Director and is frequently referred to as "Mama Kim". Her position touches almost all aspects of our business and Kim regularly works with all our staff to help make client work more efficient and meaningful.
Kim currently resides with her husband, and Winston the Yorkie, in Tampa, FL. She's a proud mom to 4 adult children/step-children and an even prouder grandmom to 6 grandchildren.
Heather Rose • Digital Media Director
Heather is a graduate of Piedmont College where she earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts. She’s previously worked as an executive assistant in colleges, theaters, and business offices across the southeast United States. She currently serves as Avid's Digital Media Director working to develop and refine marketing and media services.
When she isn’t busy at work she enjoys playing tabletop games at home and digital games online. She is an avid Tolkien enthusiast and a budding organizer. She loves making new connections with people, is adaptable to new situations, and attributes that to her life of growing up in the military living and traveling all over the world.
Heather currently resides in Southeast Florida with her husband Patrick, their three kids, and 12-year-old puppy dog Riley. She is so thankful to be able to work with AVID to continue that lifestyle with her children during the day.
Abigail Rotoni • S.E.A. Corp. Recruiter & Virtual Call Leader
Abbie was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She's been working virtually since 2018 providing online assistance to various US-based clients across several industries. She started as an administrative assistant and later grew to become an Executive Virtual Professional.
She currently heads Avid's South East Asian Division as a recruiter and leader working with Filipino Virtual Assistants and managers. She regularly coaches and trains her staff to stretch them and challenges them to raise their caliber. She is a big believer in the professional services and skills they can provide to contribute to the growth of their client's businesses.
Abbie is a proud mother of 3 beautiful children. In her spare time, she loves baking and bringing joy to her family and friends.
